Laatste dag thuis

Ingecheckt voor mijn vlucht van 10.20u naar Oslo morgen (met een plek aan het raam ;) ) ! Alleen mijn toilettas inpakken rest nog zo ongeveer, mijn koffer heb ik afgelopen week gelukkig al gedaan.  Zonder al te veel problemen eigenlijk: met kleding, extra handtas en schoenen kwam mijn koffer niet eens boven de 19 kilo. En ik mag 23, naast 8 kilo handbagage. Gelukkig kan Wim, een vriend van me die me volgende week in Oslo komt opzoeken, ook nog een aantal kilo voor mij meenemen zodat ik zelf ruimte over heb voor stroopwafels en hagelslag!

Hoe voel ik me? Op dit moment wat nerveus, maar ook heb ik juist zin in Oslo! Gelukkig word ik daar met open armen ontvangen door een paar vriendinnen die ik daar ken. En ik heb positief bericht ontvangen dat mijn stage waarschijnlijk gewoon goedgekeurd gaat worden door de universiteit. Gister was ik juist wat bangig, toen was het nog anderhalve dag tot het moment dat er iets gaat gebeuren dat buiten mijn vertrouwde wereldje ligt. Vorige week was het voor het eerst dat ik me echt realiseerde dat ik weg zou gaan. Maar alsnog, het is maar 4 maanden, met Kerst ben ik weer terug.

Mijn zus gedag zeggen, mijn opa, mijn ouders, de hond niet te vergeten, morgen wordt ik naar Schiphol gebracht en dan gaat het beginnen!

Just checked in for my flight to Oslo at 10.20am tomorrow (I have a seat next to the window ;) ) ! The only thing what is left right now is packing my tooth brush and stuff, I did my suitcase last week. I did not really have a lot of problems with that actually: with clothes, an extra hand bag and my shoes my suitcase did not weigh over 19 kilo, while I am allowed to take 23 kilo with me (next to 8 kilo hand luggage). Luckily Wim, a friend who is going to visit me next week in Oslo, can take some extra kilos with him in his suitcase, which means I have space left for Dutch syrup waffles and chocolate sprinkles! (The last one is a typical and tasty Dutch sandwich spread).

How do I feel? Right now a little nervous, but also looking forward to going to Oslo! I am happy that I will be welcomed warmly in Oslo by some friends I know there. And today I received good news from my university that the internship will probably be approved. Yesterday I was kind of scared, then it was only one and a half day left until I was going to leave for a situation outside my comfort zone. Last week was the first time I really realised I was going to leave. But still, it is only for 4 months, I will be back with Christmas.

Saying goodbye to my sister, my grandparents, my parents, do not forget the dog, and tomorrow I will be driven to the airport and then it all will start!
